Our Humble Roots

Our founder, Mr Quek Bok Teck started Aik Soon Hardware Company in the early eighties with just a borrowed office space, a table and a telephone line from a business friend. Initially focused on the trading of general hardware, Quek Bok Teck shifted the company’s offerings to include various types of valves and pipe fittings. This is because he anticipated growing and strong demand from the ship docking and repair sector.

Mr Quek Bok Teck’s hardwork and sheer determination, along with strong and generous support from customers and friends have helped trigger the growth of Aik Soon into the company it is today. In recognition of his entrepreneurship journey, he is also featured in a local publication on prominent local entrepreneurs called “101 Chinese Entrepreneurs and Businessmen” and in 2018, featured in "Who's Who of the Singapore Towkay" published by Lianhe Zaobao.

Today, Mr Quek Bok Teck’s motto of “Providing Quality and Reliability of both our products and services to our customers” has become an important part of our company culture and guiding principles.
